Seminar Series Gender and Women's Status in the Palestinian Society

Mada al-Carmel – The Arab Center for Applied Social Research – is organizing a seminar series focusing on a variety of issues dealing with gender and women's status in the Palestinian society.

The seminar commences at the end of June and will consist of ten meetings. Topics to be discussed include: Patriarchal Culture and Gender Relations; Feminism and Nationalism; The ties between the Authority and the Patriarchy; Feminist Methods and Approaches; Masculinity and Sexuality; Women and Art and many more.

The meetings will be held once a month at Mada's office located at 51 Allenby St. in Haifa. The project is co-ordinated by Manar Hasan.
