This report presents the results and analysis of the Mada al-Carmel Survey Research Unit’s survey of Palestinians in Israel and their opinions relating to the Or Commission. The survey interviewed 522 Palestinians in Israel in August 2003 and questioned them on the ability of the Commission to justly investigate the tragic deaths of 13 Arab demonstrators in October 2000. They were also asked whether or not they support the establishment of the commission. Although this survey was completed three years after the events, the level of interest in the investigation demonstrates that the Palestinian population in Israel is still concerned with the delivery of justice in this case.
