This political monitoring report examines the attitudes of the State of Israel and of the Israeli Jewish public toward Palestinian citizens in Israel and how those attitudes have changed since the beginning of the al-Aqsa uprising and the October 2000 protests. The report examines and traces the manifestations of the official policy and political discourse in four areas: legislation and resolutions in the Knesset, government policies, public opinion, and the “popular culture of hate”. This report covers the period from September 2000 to the end of December 2002.
